WHAT IS SCALP MICRO PIGMENTATION?
The worst thing about scalp micro is...... not enough people know about it!
In comparison to hair transplants, hair pieces and sprays, most people don't even know how incredible this procedure is or have never even heard about it.
The main reason for the SMP word not being mainstream, is because the results are so natural no one will suspect a thing!
Whether you have thinning hair or a full head of hair loss, SMP can work for you.
After each session at my studio, my clients look and feel like they just stepped back in time.
It’s time for you to get your confidence back!

SMP is a form of aesthetic tattooing. A precision needle is used to implant coloured pigment into the dermal layer of the scalp to create a small dot replicating the look of a hair follicle.
You will have between two or three sessions to create a hair line and layer density.
Why should I get SMP?
· Creates the appearance of a fuller, thicker head of hair. Camouflaging exposed scalp and disguising gaps in hair and thinning crowns.
· Recreates a natural, more youthful frontal hairline and side profiles.
· Permanently camouflage the symptoms of alopecia, however severe or recurrent.
· Camouflage hair transplant scars from strip or FUE surgery.
· Hide birthmarks and accident-related scars or burns.
· Work as a combination solution with a hair transplant to provide additional density.

How deep does it go?
Scalp micropigmentation implants ink into the dermal layer of the skin, where as artistic tattooing goes deeper into the dermis. As with all tattoos SMP softens with time so colour top ups are essential every 3-5 years. Although some people feel the soften look ages with them.
Is it painful?
Everyone has different pain thresholds, but most describe SMP as mildly uncomfortable.
In SMP we don’t use any numbing cream as it can blanch the skin and cause pigment to expand. We ensure plenty of breaks as and when the customer needs it.

About the Pigment we use
At LS micropigmentation we only use the very best in pigments.
Alivio, is a natural, cruelty free plant based permanent ink. Its thicker than other pigments so holds in the skin making your SMP last.
It is simply made of the perfect combinations of burnt plant, distilled water and witch-hazel.
Once placed in the dermal layer of the skin it holds detail well and softens over time.
Alivio is made up of a scale 60-0 of shades of grey to match the colour of keratin. (eve

Do I need to cut my hair?

To get best results its best to, however I can add density to existing hair.
To get maximum results its best to take it 1-0.4. You must not shave it as I need to see existing follicles to know where to add pigment.
